Community members and visitors will soon be able to make use of two new Level 3 DC Fast Electric Vehicle Chargers (62.6kW) on Aster Street thanks to funding through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program and the Province of BC.
The installation project will begin on September 4 until mid-October 2023. Construction work is expected to take place between the hours of 7am – 6pm on weekdays, with weekend work scheduled for September 9 and 10. While traffic through the area is not expected to change, community members can expect parking stall closures on Aster Street as well as heavy machinery onsite. Additionally, public foot path to Pioneer Park may be re-routed or closed.
