Join us for Pitch-In Week, an opportunity for all residents of the Village of Pemberton to come together and make a positive impact on our community and environment. Pitch-In Week is more than just picking up litter, it is about showing pride and care for Pemberton, our climate, and the natural environment.

From April 22nd to April 27th, a variety of cleanup events and activities will be available to participate in and come together as a community. By volunteering your time, you will not only contribute to a cleaner, greener community but also help diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement in our area.

Throughout the week, cleanup efforts will be underway in different zones across Pemberton coordinated by amazing local organizations and groups. Check the calendar below for details on where cleanup activities are taking place. If there is an area you are passionate about that is not on the list, feel free to take initiative and organize your cleanup efforts with your family and friends. Do not forget to share a picture of your group with us so we can feature your efforts on our social media channels.

Safety is paramount during Pitch-In Week. The Village Green Team will be there to provide supplies and pick up the collected garbage. Remember to protect yourself by wearing reusable gloves, carrying sanitizer, and dressing in visible clothing, especially when working near roads or handling sharp objects or contaminants.

Let's come together as a community to make Pitch-In Week a success again and demonstrate our commitment to a cleaner, healthier Pemberton. Your participation makes a difference!

Interested in doing your own clean up?

Community members can pick up Pitch-In garbage bags from the Village of Pemberton Municipal Office and at the PDCC. Please note, tipping fees for participants of Pitch-In week at the Pemberton Transfer Station will be waived. Participants must either use the official Pitch-In Week garbage bags (which are available with the Village Offices or PDCC) or register with the SLRD for a certificate for the fees to be waived.
