The Pemberton and District Recreation Service is committed to creating accessible and inclusive opportunities for everyone.
Whistler Adaptive Sports operate dedicated year-round programs in sports and therapeutic recreation in Pemberton for anyone with disabilities or neurodiversity. Activities include hiking and physical literacy and paddlesports in the summer months. For more information on our schedule and how to get involved either as a participant, volunteer or to make a donation to the charity, head to www.whistleradaptive.com.
LIFE stands for “Leisure Involvement for Everyone.” The program is designed to provide healthy lifestyle opportunities to residents who face financial challenges by offering discounted program fees to low-income families.
All permanent Pemberton and Area C residents who meet the annual family income limitations may apply. Total income for all adults in the household must be included in the application.
Applications are available through the online form, at the Pemberton and District Community Centre or download the PDF format application form. Complete one application per family and return it to the registration desk with proof of residency and proof of household income.
Take this opportunity to make a healthy lifestyle a priority for you and your family.
What are the benefits of the LIFE Program?
Pemberton is committed to having every child and youth included in the sport and recreations programs and has partnered with Whistler Adaptive. Trained volunteer "buddies" are provided through Whistler Adaptive for kids who need a little extra support to have great sport experience.
If your child has diverse needs and/or struggles to participate in group programs, they will likely benefit from having a Whistler Adaptive buddy accompany them.
