Public Works crews have been undertaking watermain flushing this week throughout the Village of Pemberton.
Flushing will continue into next week and may result in some temporary drops in water pressure or discolouration of water. Residents are advised to run their water until it's clear before using.
Water main flushing is an important part of water distribution maintenance as it aids in the improvement of water quality.
Flushing involves isolating a section of the water distribution system and opening hydrants to release water at a high flow rate. The increased water flow aids in the removal of material that has built up over time in water mains.
