The Pemberton Airport accepts fixed wing and rotocraft vehicles. There is currently limited fuel services available. There are no lights towers or navigational assistance.

The airport includes a Pilots Room and washrooms, located inside the Terminal Building. Hours of operation are 8am to 5pm. NOTE:  Due to COVID-19 the Terminal Building is CLOSED to the Public.  Portapotties have been put in place airside by the Terminal Building.

The Pemberton Airport is primarily a summer facility, with only limited maintenance performed during the winter months, such as apron clearing in case of emergency. At Regular Council Meeting No. 1172, held January 23, 2007, the following resolution was passed with respect to Airport Snow Clearing:

THAT a policy be established whereby if an individual wishes to make arrangements for snow clearing at the Airport the entire runway must be cleared, at their own expense, under the supervision and at the discretion of the Works Manager and to the standards set by Transport Canada and the Village of Pemberton.

THAT the Village schedule runway clearing at the discretion of the Works Manager and upon the following conditions:

  • Promising weather conditions with several days without snow fall
  • The Village core is sufficiently cleared and tidied
  • Availability of staff and equipment

Please contact the Village should you wish to make arrangements to have the runway cleared subject to the above policy.

January 31, 2021 | NOTAM Issued for Pemberton Regional Airport (CYPS)

Please be advised that a NOTAM has been filed to inform all airport users that the Runway is CLOSED due to snow.  As per the Village's Snow Clearing Policy, priority is given to Village streets and sidewalks.  Once those areas have been sufficiently cleared snow clearing at the airport will proceed.  Unfortunately, the Village is unable to provide a timeline as to when the runway will be open.
