Supporting Safer Spaces: New Fire Prevention Officer Launches Community Education Visits

Posted on July 22, 2025
We’re thrilled to welcome Paul Quinlan to the Village of Pemberton as our new full-time Fire Prevention Officer! Paul has been part of the Pemberton Fire Rescue family since 2019, serving as a paid-on-call firefighter and Fire Captain. He brings a wealth of experience in fire safety and community involvement, and he’s passionate about keeping our community safe and informed.

In his new role, Paul will take on a variety of fire prevention responsibilities. These include conducting fire inspections, reviewing Fire Safety Plans as well as construction and development proposals, and leading public education initiatives focused on fire and life safety. He will also be responding to incidents at the firehall as part of his operational duties.

Over the next few weeks, you might spot Paul out and about visiting local businesses to say hello, answer questions, and chat about fire safety.

If you see him around the Village, be sure to say hello and give him a warm welcome!
