The Village of Pemberton is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Professional Forester to complete an update to our Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) and forestry mitigation projects.
The Village of Pemberton (VOP) is located 35 kms north of Whistler in the Pemberton Valley, and is part of the Sea to Sky corridor. The Village is almost completely surrounded by mountainous, forested terrain. The area proposed for assessment in the CWPP Update includes a 2km buffer of the revised boundary of the municipality. Most of the proposed assessment area is within the CWHds1 biogeoclimatic zone, with some in the IDFww. These are both transition zones from the coastal maritime climate to the drier interior climate.
