A permissive tax exemption is a way for the Village of Pemberton to support organizations that further Council’s objective to enhance the quality of life of residents while delivering services economically.
The Village of Pemberton will consider first, second, and third readings of Village of Pemberton Permissive Tax Exemption (SSCS Affordable Housing and Community Hub) Bylaw No. 997, 2025 at the regular meeting of Council to be held at 5:30pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Council Chambers at 7400 Prospect Street and via Zoom webinar (Webinar ID 840 0997 7920).
The bylaw proposes a ten-year tax exemption for the land and improvements that are set apart and in use for non-for-profit activities under section 224 (2) (a) (i) of the Community Charter, as follows:
Property | Years | Estimated Municipal Revenue Forgone Years 1, 2 and 3 |

Please contact the Finance Division at accounting@pemberton.ca or by telephone at 604-894-6135 if you have any questions regarding the bylaw or the proposed permissive tax exemption.
