Public Notice: Intent to Amend Business Licence Bylaw

Notice to amend Business Licence Bylaw No. 855, 2019. The Council of the Village of Pemberton intends to consider an amendment to Business Licence Bylaw No. 855, 2019 at the regular council meeting to be held at 9:00am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The amendment proposes the following changes to the bylaw:

 

  1. to exempt a home exchange from short-term vacation rental business licensing requirements;
  2. to limit renewal of a short-term vacation rental business licence to once only when a waitlist is in effect; and
  3. to add a requirement for a short-term vacation rental host to display a decal indicating the presence of a short-term vacation rental on the premises.

Copies of the proposed bylaw and background information may be viewed on the Village website at Pemberton.ca and inspected at the Village of Pemberton Office at 7400 Prospect Street during office hours from Friday, May 16th to Tuesday, May 27th.

All persons who consider that they are affected by the proposed bylaw will be provided reasonable opportunity to make representation to Council in writing prior to the May 27th meeting or may address Council at the May 27th meeting. Anyone wishing to address Council may join the meeting in Council Chambers at 7400 Prospect Street or may connect via the Zoom webinar (Webinar ID: 840 0997 7920).
