Pemberton Fire Rescue will be conducting wildfire preparedness training exercises in the Ridge and Sunstone neighbourhoods over the next three weeks, on the following dates:
- Wednesday, May 14, 2025
- Wednesday, May 21, 2025
- Wednesday, May 28, 2025
- Time: 7:00 p.m. to approximately 10:00 p.m.
These exercises are part of our continued efforts to prepare for wildfire season and ensure the safety of our community.
You may notice an increased fire department presence during these sessions, including multiple fire trucks, personnel in full gear, and realistic training scenarios. These are simulated emergencies only and there is no cause for concern.
The training will focus on a live-response simulation in the Ridge and Sunstone areas, where crews will practice wildfire response strategies. Activities will include sprinkler deployment, pump operations, and extinguishing mock fires throughout the neighbourhood.
