The One Mile Lake Park Main Beach and lawn area is getting a much-needed makeover this spring! Beginning the week of April 8, our Public Works crew will be hard at work enhancing the public beach area for everyone to enjoy.
Here's what you can expect during this revitalization project:
- Drainage improvements for a more enjoyable park experience.
- Fresh sand at the beach for those sunny days ahead.
- Aeration, top dressing, and reseeding of the grass area to ensure lush greenery for picnics and play.
While we're enthusiastic about these improvements, please note the lawn area will be closed for approximately one month, from April 8th to May 8th, with intermittent disruptions on the beach and parking area. This timeline accounts for both the physical work and the necessary growing and recovery period for our green spaces. Please note that weather conditions may influence this schedule.
During this time, our team will strive to minimize disruptions by fencing off the beach and grassed area while keeping access to the boardwalk, trails, and docks available.
