WATER QUALITY SAMPLING AREA
On February 17, 2016, a total of 20 drinking water samples were taken from different locations.
- 17 of those samples were taken from within the Village boundaries (Village core, The Glen, the Plateau and Airport area).
- 3 were taken from locations within SLRD Electoral Area C Pemberton North Water System.
On March 9, 2016 the Village received the results that revealed that 12 (11 in Village boundaries and 1 in Pemberton North) came back with elevated lead levels between 2 to 6 times the Maximum Acceptable Concentration. Further details, such as the names of the homeowners or addresses of those sampled, cannot be shared as per the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
