We are excited to announce that the Village has been awarded $3.09 million dollars for the construction of a new grass soccer field with water well for irrigation, fencing and lighting, and an amenity building with washrooms, change rooms, storage and concession. The project will be constructed at the Recreation Site located on Pemberton Farm Road East.
The total cost of the project is $4,224,405. The Village's share of the funding will come from Village Community Amenity Contributions (CACs), Squamish-Lillooet Regional District contributions, developer contributions and community contributions. The Village submitted the application in January 2019.
We are extremely grateful for this contribution towards our recreation amenities. This investment will create a healthier, more connected Pemberton.
