Join us an evening of reflection and learning at the Pemberton & District Community Centre. On September 27, a special screening of Sugarcane will take place to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The award-winning documentary Sugarcane investigates the history of residential schools and highlights the resilience of Indigenous peoples.
Following the film, there will be a Q&A session with Ed Noisecat, offering an opportunity for thoughtful discussion and learning.
The evening will also include a traditional Indigenous light meal service.
This is a FREE event. Please RSVP on Facebook. While seating will be provided, attendees are welcome to bring camping chairs if they wish. See you there!
