On Wednesday, June 18, crews will be installing a raised crosswalk on Cottonwood Street, along with flashing pedestrian beacons and street lighting on both sides of the crossing. This design mirrors the crosswalk at Pemberton Farm Road East, offering greater visibility and safety for pedestrians. The new crosswalk will connect the Pemberton & District Community Centre with the skate park and parking lot.
The work is expected to take one day, including the asphalt and paving.
Traffic Access:
- Cottonwood Street will remain open to traffic during construction.
- Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place, and residents will still have access, although there may be brief delays while equipment is operating in the area.
