Sandbag Stations open at Mount Currie and the Village of Pemberton

Sandbagging is available at these stations to all affected residents.

Village of Pemberton Location

7400 Prospect Street (located across from the RCMP station).

A self-serve sandbag station has been set up at the Village of Pemberton Municipal Hall parking lot, located at 7400 Prospect Street (located across from the RCMP station). Effective 4:30 p.m. today, the self-serve station is accessible 24 hours per day and will remain open until the risk of flooding subsides. Sand, sandbags and shovels are on site and available to residents free of charge – shovels are required to remain on site for all residents to use.

Mount Currie Location

Main Street, south of intersection of Hwy 99/Duffy Lake Road and Pemberton Portage Road

A self-serve sandbag station has been set up at the lot on Main Street just south of the Hwy 99/Duffy Lake Rd intersection). The self-serve station is accessible 24 hours per day and will remain open until the risk of flooding subsides. Sand and sandbags are on site and available to residents free of charge. Residents are required to bring their own shovels. A sandbagging machine will be available from Saturday June 26 with an excavator operator to support machine filling.
