WHISTLER BLACKCOMB FOUNDATION ENVIRONMENTAL FUND: Helping Pemberton Recycle

July 2007 - A huge THANK YOU from the Village of Pemberton to the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Environmental Fund!

The WBFEF is contributing $3,700.00 to help Pemberton purchase three bear-proof recycling containers.

The containers will be sidewalk style and situated at high-foot traffic areas of the Village, such as One Mile Lake Park, downtown, and the Village entrance. With the generous financial contribution of the WBFEF, we are working towards our goal of making recycling convenient, prominent, and accessible.

Did you know? The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle will light a 100 watt bulb for four hours!

Every little bit helps: even a small community like Pemberton can make a big difference when it comes to reducing waste: wasted energy as well as the waste that enters our landfills.
