Standing Committees

Standing Committees of Council are established by the Mayor in December of each year for the proceeding year, for matters that he Mayor considers would be best dealt with by committee. At least half of he members of standing committees must be Council members, therefore up to half of the members may be non-Council members. The Mayor appoints persons to these committees for a 1-year term.

Select Committees

Select Committees of Council may be established and appointed by Council at any time to consider or inquire into any matter and report its findings and opinions to the Council. At least one member of a select committee must be a Council member.

Advisory Design Review Committee
Advisory Land Use Committee
Community Garden Committee

Joint Committees

Joint Committees are Select Committees that are jointly administrated by the Village of Pemberton and another government.

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

The Administration Committee/Committee of the Whole is a standing committee of Council which addresses issues of Governance, Policy, Finance, Public Works & Parks, Airport, Communications, Fire, and Community Forest/Fuel Management projects.

LAND USE APC (ADVISORY LAND USE COMMITTEE)

February 2009 - The Village of Pemberton recently adopted an Advisory Planning Commissions Bylaw that established two distinct Advisory Planning Commissions know as: the "Land Use APC" and the "Design Review APC". These new Advisory Planning Commissions are intended to replace the Advisory Land Use Committee and Advisory Design Review Committee, respectively.

The Village of Pemberton is therefore seeking individuals interested in serving as volunteers on these commissions.
